Transcending Fury

This might be one of my favorite album art commissions. Brian gave me the prompt “Boss Battle”. I made a napkin sketch and came to a concept I liked pretty quickly. The final render very closely matches the original napkin sketch I made.

After listening to the album, I came up with a concept revolving around the destruction and recreation of digitally voxelized organic worlds, drawing inspiration from the song titles, the synthetic and complex digital music overtones of the album and the artist name of bloodbit, which signified to me the combination of digital information (bit) with human warmth (blood)
